Solar Powered Charging Stations
What is it?
This project aims to design and install small, solar-powered charging stations in parks, shelters, and public spaces. Each station can charge phones, power lights, and provide emergency access to electricity for those in need, especially the homeless.
Why it matters?
Supports people who don’t have regular access to power (like the homeless).
Promotes renewable energy in the community.
Teaches students real-world engineering, teamwork, and sustainability.
Our Goals
Build and install 3–5 solar charging stations in local public spaces.
Empower students to design, build, and test renewable energy solutions.
Raise awareness about homelessness and energy access.
